On September 12, 2018, Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese P.C. co-hosted a Continuing Legal Education course with the Association of Corporate Counsel at Coors Field on issues related to litigation, administrative law, commercial real estate transactions, and in-house practice. This is the second consecutive year that Lewis Bess collaborated with the ACC to sponsor this event.
Speaker from the firm included Kate Field presenting on tips for quick resolution of litigation; Zeke Williams discussing strategies for dealing with administrative agencies; and Anish Michael and Lauren Claassen providing insights into commercial real estate transactions.
Other Lewis Bess attorneys led discussions with special guests. LaLonnie Gray interviewed The Honorable Christine M. Arguello of United States District Court for the District of Colorado who shared advice for in-house counsel for companies appearing before her in the courtroom. Chuck Weese led a discussion with Rockies Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel, Hal Roth, and General Counsel Brian Gaffney, who described their unique in-house practice.
The program covered best practices, strategies to avoid pitfalls, and lessons learned in these various practice areas. Presentations are available here.
After the CLE, attendees gathered on the terrace at Coors Field to watch the Rockies defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks.
