Employment Associate – Litigation & Counseling

Job Requirements:

Our Firm seeks an associate attorney with 1-3 years post-JD experience to join our robust and growing Employment Team.  We handle a variety of complex employment matters for sophisticated clients, including but not limited to, defending companies against employment-related claims in litigation and agency disputes, providing practical advice on the ever-changing employment laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts, and counseling clients on a range of employment issues and training.

We are locally and nationally known to defend clients in cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, breach of employment contracts, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, unfair competition, retaliation, violation of public policy, wage and hour class actions, union relations, and many other issues.

We are looking for a star associate who will produce excellent work and be a contributing member to our collaborative Firm culture.

Qualified candidates may have the following attributes:

  • Experience providing advice and counsel to clients on employment matters, representing clients in employment litigation, and drafting workplace policies and employment agreements.
  • Strong legal research, legal writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm, attention to detail, an entrepreneurial and ownership mentality, and the ability to contribute to and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from a top-rated law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Former judicial law clerks encouraged to apply.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in Colorado or willing to complete the process to waive into Colorado Bar.

Position Type:

  • Full-time, in person role.
  • Yearly 1800-hour expectation.

Salary Range:

  • $170,000 to $200,000, depending on experience.

Natural Resources & Commercial Litigation Associate

Job Requirements:

Our Litigation group seeks an associate attorney with 0 to 4 years post-JD experience to join our litigation team.  Join us and help solve disputes involving natural resources, contracts, class actions, commercial issues, oil & gas, energy, the environment, and federal public lands. We are looking for a star performer who will take the work seriously, yet still be a part of our collaborative Firm culture.

Qualified candidates may have the following attributes:

  • Experience representing clients in commercial issues, contracts, natural resources, oil & gas, energy, federal lands, or environmental litigation matters.
  • Strong legal research and legal writing skills.
  • Enthusiasm, attention to detail, an entrepreneurial and ownership mentality, and the ability to contribute to and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor
  • Former judicial law clerks encouraged to apply.

Private Client & Estate Planning Associate

Job Requirements:

Our Private Client & Estate Planning group seeks an associate attorney with 1-2 years post-JD experience in Estate Planning and Tax Law to join our robust and growing team.  This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a locally and nationally known firm that handles complex estate planning and administration matters for our clients. We handle sophisticated matters for wealthy individuals and families, encompassing the creation, structure, and operation of wealth transfer vehicles, including trusts, family-owned and closely held business entities, family offices, and charitable entities.

We are looking for a star performer who is both an excellent attorney and enjoyable to work with and who will produce outstanding work and engage in our collaborative Firm culture.

Qualified candidates should have the following attributes:

  • Experience providing advice and counsel to clients on the intricacies of estate planning, trust administration, tax planning and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Excellent legal research, legal writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm, attention to detail, an entrepreneurial and ownership mentality, and the ability to contribute to and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-rated law school with strong academic credentials.

Salary Range:

  • $170,000 to $180,000 – Depending on experience.

 

Corporate and Transactional Attorney

Job Requirements:

The Firm is looking for outstanding corporate attorneys to join our thriving full-service business practice.  We would like to add one or more corporate, M&A, and corporate transaction lawyers to our team.  Partner, counsel, or attorney candidates with 10+ years of experience and some business preferred.  This is a tremendous opportunity for a corporate lawyer with good client relationships and skills.  Our attorneys have the sophisticated local, regional, and nationwide practices to support high-achieving corporate and M&A lawyers.  Outstanding compensation and a fun, no-nonsense Firm culture.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor
  • Must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the state/jurisdiction in which the position is based or willing to complete process to waive into Colorado Bar.

Position type:

  • Full-Time/Regular

Salary Range:

  • For attorneys or counsel, salary range is $205,000 to $230,000, based on experience.

  • At year end, this position is eligible for an hours-based bonus and may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for the firm’s benefits as they currently exist, which include, but are not limited to health, dental, and vision insurance, 3% annual contribution to 401(k) plan for eligible employees, flexible time off, short- and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
  • Bonus-eligible at 1700 hours
  • 12-16 weeks of parental leave
