Carlos Romo Gives CLE to Colorado Bar Association Water Section on Recent Developments in Clean Water Act Jurisdiction & Permitting

Carlos Romo, Director at Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese PC, was invited to speak on evolving developments in Clean Water Act jurisdiction and permitting requirements at the Colorado Bar Association Water Section’s April meeting.

“This is a complex and ever-changing area of the law,” said Romo. “It is important for natural resource practitioners to understand the current state of the law on the reach of the Clean Water Act to help their clients avoid issues with project permits and development.”

Carlos Romo practices natural resources and environmental law at Lewis, Bess, Williams & Weese PC. He helps clients in a variety of industries with transactions and litigation involving regulatory compliance and has particular expertise in the energy sector. Carlos’ Clean Water Act experience has included permitting complex projects, negotiating transactions involving water contamination, and litigating Clean Water Act citizen suits. His clients include oil and gas companies, renewable energy developers, utilities, ski resorts, trade associations, and real estate investors.
